orchestra conductor leadership training

Music and Leadership: The Orchestra Experience with Conductor and Live Orchestra

During the orchestra experience, participants are seated inside a large musical organisation: the symphony orchestra.

Orchestral conductor Dominic Alldis begins by conducting an inspiring piece of symphonic music, giving participants a unique opportunity to see and hear music being made from within the orchestra, observe the role of the conductor (or maestro) and orchestral players, and experience the power of non-verbal communication.

Using a series of carefully crafted exercises, during which several participants will have the opportunity to conduct the orchestra, Dominic then leads an interactive discussion on how playing in orchestras mirrors working in a large organisation, and how the maestro provides visionary leadership and creates a framework for exceptional performance.

Testimonial
"Learning about leadership through music is one of the most creative learning experiences I have ever had.  The combination of beautiful music and Dominic's excellent ability in translating the orchestra's experience into everyday business leadership experiences is a unique and powerful opportunity for anyone who participates.  I have been privileged to be a past participant but I feel equally privileged to bring this to my colleagues at Morgan Stanley.  It is a beautiful, moving and educational experience. Bravo!.."
