Teamwork and Creativity
The Jazz Experience is an interactive 90-minute event that explores teamwork, flexibility and creativity through the metaphor of jazz.
The session begins with a performance of a familiar song by a live jazz band, giving the participants an opportunity to listen and observe how the players improvise, experiment, build on each other's ideas and embrace a culture that engenders a rich flow of creative ideas.
This is followed by a series of carefully crafted exercises that facilitate an interactive discussion about jazz as a metaphor for the new work environment. A jazz mindset provides an excellent model for today's corporate player.
The Jazz Experience can also be combined with a percussion workshop.
CASE STUDY... Vaillant
The Vaillant Group is a global market and technology leader in the fields of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning technology. For their 2018 Leadership Conference in Berlin, they invited Music & Management to present both The Orchestra Experience and The Jazz Experience to their top 200 leaders. The event featured a group of Berlin's finest jazz musicians followed by a Q&A about flexibility and change within music and business.

CASE STUDY... European Investment Bank
The European Investment Bank (EIB) is the European Union's nonprofit long-term lending institution. As the world's largest multilateral borrower and lender by volume, it provides finance and expertise for sound and sustainable investment projects which contribute to furthering EU policy objectives. In September 2016 the Finance Directorate invited Dominic Alldis to be the keynote speaker at La Philharmonie in Luxembourg. The session focused on the need for collaboration and transparency to faciltate open communication and trust.

CASE STUDY... London Business School
In 2010-11 London Business School engaged Music & Management to provide a series of jazz events for their Senior Executive Development Program. It focused on the special skills required to be a successful jazz musician - flexibility, speed of response, improvising within minimal structures, alternating between 'soloing' and 'supporting' roles, accommodating of errors and rotating leadership.

During 2011-14 they invited Music & Management to provide a series of afternoon drumming workshops at the Chateau Ronqueux near Paris. The session was delivered in French to the board and senior management Groupe Bel. It featured musicians from the Paris jazz scene.
Barclays Bank is the world's seventh largest bank and headquartered in London.
As part of their 2014 leadership development program they invited a select group of senior executives to attend a lunchtime jazz concert by the Dominic Alldis Trio. This was followed by an interactive discussion and workshop about jazz and innovation, embracing change, accommodating risk, building trust and shared responsibility.
